I have an issue with my Ethernet.

We have a CM2000 Netgear Modem, and an AXE7800 Netgear router, both of which are compatible with COX based on their website.

We also have 1000 Mbps service.

Two computers are connected to the router via 50’ Ethernet cables.

Computer 1 (Francis) is able to achieve 800 Mbps speeds on Ookla (SpeedTest.com)!

Computer 2 (Sherplette) will not, for the life of me, get over 100 Mbps down, it inconsistently fluctuates between ~60-90Mbps down/~1mbps up.

I have tried the following:

  • Replaced the Ethernet cable.

  • Purchased New Ethernet adapters, 2.5gbps/1Gbps/100Mbps PCIe Controller and a USB-C To RJ45 Ethernet adapter.

  • Disabled Large Send Offload.

  • Restarted both router and modem, millions of times.

  • Switched which LAN ports the cable is connected to on the PC and the Router.

  • Set IPv4 DNS to Google Standard.

If somebody much more intelligent than me would kindly help me out, for nothing more than my eternal gratitude, you would be my savior.

Thank you! I’ve connected my computer to LAN1 and LAN2 with no difference.
