I drive a 2007 dodge nitro and noticed that the driver side heat is not as hot as it used to be and is cooler than the passenger side heat.
I do not have dual heating controls. I notice that as you go from left to right from vent to vent it gets warmer.
Any ideas on a fix and if I would be able to trouble shoot / fix with minimal automotive knowledge.
If not, ideas on a cost estimate for repair?
Thanks!
Thanks for the help! Looked into this some and after I got home last night I found a video on how to diagnose this by checking the inlet and outlet temps. I let the car sit for about 5 minutes while I got the temp gun and watched the video, started the car and ran the heat full go for a little bit. The inlet was ~175° and the outlet was ~150-155°.
From my understanding the difference is not too large, but the temps might both be low? Curious what you thought.
