Hello,

I’m looking for some advice/assistance if possible regarding an issue with a new router I just purchased.
I have tried every single thing I can think of and no matter what it leads me back to thinking the WAN1 port on this device is malfunctioning.

The device has 2 x 2.5GBe ports, and 4x 1Gbe ports.

I have tried connecting my modem (which supports 2.5GBE), AND my PC (which supports 2.5GBE) directly to this port. No matter what, within the web management console under "Network -> Switch -> Port Status the WAN1 port will never negotiate past 100mbps. If I try to force it to 1gbit, or 2.5gbit on the port config page, it will switch to “Link Down” and fail to connect.
I am also getting an orange light on the port itself, instead of a green indicating 1gbit/2.5gbit

Things I have tried:
I tried connecting my PC directly to my modem via 3 different ethernet cables. A Cat5e, a cat6, and a cat 7/8 cable.
ALL THREE of of those above cables connect directly to my modem and connect at 2.5GBE as reported by windows 11.

I can also get 2.5GBe showing up on the "Network -> Switch -> Port Status on WAN2 (which I am using as a lan port)

WAN2/LAN2 works just fine with all 3 of those cables I mentioned, and stays connected rock solid at 2.5GBe, But WAN1 does not.

I upgraded the firmware to the latest version, rebooted the router probably 10 times, reseated each of those 3 cables I mentioned at least 3 times each, and yet still stuck at 100mbit.

Is there some bizarre setting I am missing that would be causing WAN1 to be stuck at 100mbit when I confirmed 3 different cables I’m trying on it are working fine on 2.5GBE??

Thank you for any help. I’m stumped.
