I switched to the snow tires that I had on last year and my car wouldn’t move without significant effort, then I noticed the rims were grinding against the brake calipers, so I switched back to my summer tires.
Over the summer, I had new pads and rotors installed, and also new wheel bearings on both sides because my mechanic said they were both failing. I’m thinking the rims barely fit with the old pads and rotors, but the new ones push the calipers out just enough to cause interference, and that spacers might fix it.
Also, will I need to replace the calipers?
