Maybe someone here can advise me :)

I’m a Mexican national who has been living in Germany for the past 3 years. I learnt recently that I would probably be eligible for a Spanish passport(which would make life a lot easier). Do you know if I can apply for the passport/citizenship from Germany because it’s an EU country? Or would I have to be living in Spain? I’m quite settled in Germany now, so I’d rather not have to move. I’ve tried looking online for information about this particular situation but have found it difficult. Would be grateful for all advice on the topic :)
