Id like to set up a secondary computer as a receiving computer in another room. I’m wondering of the different possible configurations for streaming a game from one pc to another pc within a lan network?

I’m wondering if it would be possible using this configuration, router (internet) -> host pc lan port 1 -> out of lan port 2 of host pc -> input to receiving pc lan port -> display on device. They would both have a gpu to encode/decode, same brand.

If so, what would be the advantages of that vs running it through the router, and connecting the receiving pc to the router.

Currently I’ve been using wifi with parsec via pc or steam link via tv app.

Optimally, I think, I would like to simply send the encoded signal directly to the receiving pc to be decoded and then displayed. Is this possible some how if using one of the wired methods?
