Hi All

I know there are a lot of questions about charging EV’s. I’m in Australia and will be getting my first EV early next year (BYD Seal). Due to driving around 150kms a day for work, I am going to get a home setup EVSE station. Originally I was going to get the wall mounted type but they aren’t cheap here. Instead I was looking at getting a 32amp outlet installed and then buying a portable charger instead as the cost would be a lot cheaper.

Question is there any difference between using a hardwired wall mounted unit or a portable charger plugged into an outlet? Any pros or cons for either/both? TIA
