Hi, recently received a high end PC as a gift. I’ve set it up with a legitimate windows key, but after using it for a while I’ve noticed my internet speed on this computer is far slower than my previous laptop. I don’t think its the router or the position of the PC, considering I had my laptop on this same desk the day previous. I normally get excess of 150Mbps on the laptop and on my phone, but this PC struggles to get 50mbps on Wi-Fi speed tests. I also am experiencing heavy constant ping while gaming, which wasn’t a problem on the laptop.
The specs are :
AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, 6 Core, 12 Thread, 5.3GHz Turbo
Arctic Freezer A35 Performance CPU Cooler
Corsair Vengeance 32GB (2x16GB) 5200Mhz C40 DDR5 Memory)
MSI PRO X670 WIFI DDR5 Motherboard
Gigabyte Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti Windforce 8GB GDDR6X Graphics Card
Gigabyte UD750GM Gold Rated Modular PSU
Western Digital SN350 1TB NVME M.2 SSD
All running on Windows 10 Home 22H2
What I’ve already tried:
Changing adaptor settings in properties to 5Ghz
Making sure both PC antennae are attached
Updating network drivers, both windows and from my motherboards website.
If it helps, the laptop I’m referring to is a Huawei Matebook D15 2020
