Pooles antics really started amping up last season with his carelessness and bad decision making. Everyone wanted to blame it on Draymonds punch and the lack of suspension by the Warriors. After watching Poole enough last year, you could see that there was a lot more to it than that.
Maybe you could blame the body language or attitude on the incident, but he just constantly fell down or turned the ball over while dribbling, took ill-advised shots while playing alongside the best shooter on the planet, gave no effort on defense, and had a dramatic decline in shooting efficiency. The number of red flags was staggering.
The crazy part is that he’s even worse this year. He has the talent. IMO, he just lacks a ton of maturity at this stage of his life, given the responsibility bestowed upon him. (To be fair, most men his age suffer maturity issues in one form or another. They just don’t have the stage or responsibility Poole does.)
