[Rolex Explorer 2]

So my wife is amazing and just got me a certified gently used Rolex Explorer 2, 40mm in black. It’s a beautiful watch. The only problem is that we got it from Macy’s and I feel like we overpaid for it. Around 13,000 after taxes. It doesn’t look like the Original box or warranty card came with it either. I’m considering returning it but Macy’s website says if you get the watch sized you can’t return it. My question is if I put the link back in the band myself will Macys have any way to tell if it was ever sized in the first place?
