Ever since I learned that Invincible season 2 will be a “two-part series”, I’ve decided to read the comics, as the TV series is taking much longer to adapt. Unlike “The Boys,” it was a very faithful adaptation, except for some plots like Robot becoming Rex too soon.

But after issue 124, the reboot, the comics went downhill. From Eve’s cheating on Invincible to Nolan’s death, everything was so underwhelming. Maybe it’s because I’m reading the comics years later, or it could be a satire on reboots, idk, but I wish they wouldn’t adopt this plotline.

They completely ruined Mark and Eve’s relationship. The reason Eve broke up with Kubian is just bullshit. So, Eve waited for Mark, thinking that he’s dead, and started a relationship with someone, understandable as she had to move on from him. But she broke up with him because he wanted to ditch her daughter. And Mark is completely okay with it, and they reconcile on one page? WTF? Why not make Kubian a good guy or let her choose between Mark and Kubian? That’ll at least give Mark an idea about the consequences or show that Eve still loves Mark. It felt like she was with Mark not because of him but because of their daughter.

This is just one of many things. The ending felt so rushed, with many loose ends. I absolutely hated what they did to Allen. Even more than anything, I hated them killing Nolan; Eve could’ve saved him at this point. The only character with whom I was completely satisfied until the ending was Robot.
