After the spill I disconnected the keyboard and let it dry with all the keycaps removed. Most of it seems to have recovered except for a few keys on the left side. (Q , L Shift , L Ctrl)

I’ve tried everything I can think of short of disassembling the thing to get the key action smooth again. Things I have tried ( a non exhaustive list)

  1. Just wait
  2. Take the keycaps off then
    1. clean the area in and around the switch
    2. blow air into the switch after depressing it

Sometimes these work, sometimes they don’t but after about 5 mins the key is sticking again. I know that the problem is with the switch since I can feel it stick without the cap as well.

Anyone have any suggestions before I start looking into switch replacements ?
