Hey everybody, has anyone encountered the problem where devices like USB sticks, keyboards, and mice do not receive power?

Here is a short explanation:
I got an OTG adapter for my Pixel Phone, and when I try to use it to connect a USB stick or a mouse, it does not work.

But here is the fishy part: it works fine in the BIOS, so it is not a hardware issue. Both the mouse and USB-stick are detected and functional in the BIOS. I have already figured out that it is a power problem; in desktop mode, my keyboard and mouse won’t even receive power. Is this the result of a weird USB-C protocol, and can I somehow work around it? I thought maybe some of you have encountered a similar behavior.
Additionally, I also tried connecting the keyboard without the OTG adapter, just using a USB-C cable with the deck, and it simply does not work.

For me it seems like an Software Issue.

Information about my Deck:
It runs on SteamOS 3.5.7

And the Os is Stock, because I received it yesterday

I agree, the hot plugging of peripherals seems to work seamlessly in the BIOS. Perhaps there is a bug related to power-saving features. On my laptop, there is a configuration for USB-C behavior in the filesystem, preventing power delivery(autosuspend) when no power supply is plugged in. However, this should not be the issue currently, as the connections are functioning properly under the LCD on the same OS version. It’s possible that the problem lies with a driver issue.
