Hi, I recently bought the game and have been getting below expected performance.

I have an MSI Alpha 15 b5eek laptop with the following specs:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800H AMD Radeon RX 6600M 8GB 16 GB RAM Distro: Pop Os 22.04

The CPU utilization nevers exceeds 60% and the GPU max is 70-75%. The game also doesn’t use more than 4.5GB of VRAM even though there are 8GB available. Moreover, temperatures are usually below 70C, so it I don’t think its due to thermal throttling.

Interestingly enough, tweaking the graphics settings does absolutely nothing - no matter if they are Low or Ultra, the utilization and VRAM/RAM usage remain unchanged. The only way I can get the GPU to increase its utilization is by turning ray tracing on, in which case it jumps to 97%.

As a result, I have been getting around 35-45 fps (in closed and not so demanding scenes) which is unsatisfactory to say the least.

I have tried gamemode and using different proton versions, but to no avail. I also installed the amdgpu driver but again nothing changed. Any ideas what might be causing such low utilization and in turn low fps?
