First off appreciate anyone taking the time to read this!

My problem:

My Alternator recently went out & i won’t have the money to fix it for a few weeks, it is currently around 20-30 degrees where i live & leave for work around 5 AM.

It’s a 15-20 minute walk there in the freezing cold, or a 5 minute drive.

If i keep the battery fully charged by keeping it on a charger when not in use, do you think i could make the 10 minute total drive until i can get it fixed? i would need to start it twice in total then 5 minutes there then 5 minutes back.

What’s everyone’s thoughts? sound doable? i have heard cars can run hours on just a fully charged battery lol

it’s a 2007 nissan maxima, i have driven it to the store & back which was about the same distance but i guess i’m just worried about leaving it for 5-8 hours during my shifts.
