Hello everyone,
I am thinking of switching from Samsung to the latest iPhone, as my current phone died this week and repairing is not worth the price. I have been using Samsung for a couple of years now, and my last iPhone was the 4s.
I keep up to date with most of the new tech, and I am familiar with some parts of the phone’s software, however some things cannot be checked or tested without actually using the phone. I would like to ask for the below app alternatives in iOS (if available), and get clarification on some points:
App alternatives:
- Aegis (2FA), what is the best 2FA in the App Store?
- Cloudstream (Steaming movies/series/etc… from various sources)
- YouTube Vanced (YT premium but better). I do not have YouTube premium in my country, and honestly this is one of the best apps on Android.
- Tachiyomi (Manga/comics reader)
- Are there any good surviving Reddit clients?
- Are there any good file managers?
Some concerns that I have:
- Can you move your Whatsapp chats from Android to iOS?
- If there is an app that is not available in a country/region, is there a way to side-load it or maybe change the app store’s region to download it?
- Does smartthings work on iOS for supported devices?
- Are you able to automate tasks and routine similar to the Samsung routine feature?
Also, if there are any tips or things to look out for before making such a move, please feel free to highlight it too.
Cheers!
