Coming into this season San Francisco was clearly in Super Bowl-or-Bust mode. With Demeco Ryans gone they needed a new defensive coordinator. But that shouldn’t have been too hard; with a stacked roster this had to be one of the plum jobs in the NFL.

So who did they choose? Steve Wilks. Good lord, what a horrible coaching job. With the players on this defense to put such a terrible product on the field is absolute coaching malpractice, and San Fran’s championship hopes are nosediving down the drain.

If there was a worse hire last offseason, I would love to know who it was.
