So with the trade deadline coming very soon, if the following players were available for the Cowboys to trade for, who is worth pulling the trigger to you and adding to this year’s team?
A. Derrick Henry
B. Devante Adams
C. Jaylon Johnson
D. Aaron Donald
E. Garrett Bolles
F. Other

For me personally if Donald was available he would be my pick. It would make this DL absolutely unstoppable and improve the run defense. But it’s closer to a pipe dream than anything else. I would also consider Bolles because our LT depth is shaky right now with all the injuries. But neither is probably going to be realistically on the market. So to me it comes down to Henry, Johnson or Adams. And as much as I would like Adams on this team to make this WR corp potentially the best in the league or Johnson who could make a secondary that is holding together minus Diggs completely whole again, to me a bigger weakness in the RB room.

So my realistic pick out of a player who could actually legitimately be dealt is Derrick Henry. A power back to fit Solari’s run system like a glove, get tough yards, break tackles, help with short yardage plays outside and in the red zone and take a load off of Pollard and allow him to dash again through tired defenses fresh and with limited carries. Because let’s face it. Tony Pollard is just not a number 1 all around back. He’s at his best as a complimentary piece. We aren’t struggling that much in the WR room or on offense with the WRs. We figured out how to use Lamb and Cooks the past two weeks. We also aren’t struggling a lot in the secondary with Gilly and Bland forming one of the best tandems in the league right now even without Diggs. Our run game though? Is a struggle each and every game it seems like. Dowdle isn’t the answer and neither is Vaughn. And we already know that Pollard isn’t going to carry the load. So go get King Henry.

You want to beat physical defenses like SF or Philly in the playoffs when it matters the most if you get there? You need a back like Henry. Yes. He’s not in his prime anymore. But he’s still a physical freak and still has plenty left in the tank.
