Hello, I am a newbie when it comes to a home studio for backdrop photography. I have mainly only done outdoor photography but decided that now with kids, it would be a good time to setup some seasonal backdrops and take family photos inside. The issue is, we are tight on space and the only place that is suitable in our place is right next to a large window and also a full size window sliding door to the right side. Unless I wait until it is dark outside, there is natural light coming from the window. I could block all the light from these windows but it is a pain. Are there any techniques to block or reflect the light coming in?

Again, I am new to this so sorry for the potential ignorance. So far I just have the backdrops and some softbox lighting coming soon. What else exactly do I need to fully set this up for nice warm family photos? Thanks!
