Stowa Marine Classic (36mm, Roman numerals, no date, handwinding movement) arrived yesterday, and it was worth the 7-week wait (they’re made after you place your order, at Stowa’s Blackforest facility in Germany).
The 36mm case is a lovely size for my 6.7 inch wrist, and the handwound movement is quite beautifully finished – all of my other mechanical watches are automatic, so it’s lovely to behold so much of this watch’s inner beauty, sans rotor.
Also, when winding this watch, the haptic feedback is exquisite – I can feel every advancement of the ratcheted mechanism through the generously-proportioned onion crown. It is a treat for one’s fingertips, as well as for the eyes :)
