I can play older games like css, cs2, r6s, pubg no problem but when I try play cod or fortnite my cpu always goes to 100 and I get stutters like crazy not even playable. Cpu usage on other games are less than 70%. All lowest settings/off for newer games. And I can max My settings on others and still push 80+ frames.

Specs: intell i5-9400f Rtx 2060 gigabyte edition 6gb 16gb ram Stock intel cooler if that makes a difference

I’ve just reinstalled windows thinking i have a virus malware to no success.

Stress tested cpu for an hour and Temps reached 90-100°c

Would a better fan/new thermal paste help at all? Thermal paste was applied roughly a year and a half ago.
