Not sure if this one is even possible, but figured that you guys are most likely to know the answer. I’m looking for a chest-strap HR monitor that will natively feed into an active workout in the standard workouts app.

The reasons for the requirements:

- When doing exercise, I’m noticing that, regardless of effort level, the watch HR sensor comes in around 30-40BPM less than I’d expect in any circumstance where my arms are significantly above my heart (usually overhead or chest press weight activities).

- Part of the reason for pushing on this kind of thing is the integration with my health insurance app (Vitality, UK) (more activity = more benefits), but this only works for workouts that are generated by the workouts app. Anything that’s a 3rd party app that imports doesn’t feed across (which is a major pain for things like Strava and MySwimPro).

Most of the straps that I’ve seen seem to push down their own app, which obviously won’t do for the needs.

Alternatively, if there’s a way that I can make the watch sensor more accurate, or a confirmation that it’s actually the case, I’d be happy with that too!
