hi,

sorry if this is a stupid question, i don’t know too much about computers besides the basic stuff and i’m lost on what to do.

my pc is connected to our home wifi network but has no internet access. before this, it’s been almost a year without any problems, same network and everything, but it just stopped working a few weeks ago. nothing helps. my father and i tried every single option that comes up when looking for possible solutions, but after two weeks of trying, we didn’t have any real success. every now and then the connection will work and i’ll be able to access the internet (it worked for a solid 3 hours last evening!) but eventually it’ll stop and i’ll have no internet access again. i’ve given up on fixing this issue and am looking for ways to either work around it or find an alternative to using wifi.

my current solution is using my phones hotspot, but i don’t have too much mobile data so this obviously won’t be a permanent fix.

so i wanted to ask if there were any alternatives to using our home wifi or something? is there maybe a way to buy data for the pc like you can do for a phone? my father said something about wlan sticks (he’s angry right now, partially due to this issue, so i can’t ask him anything else about this), but i don’t know if i can just buy any one off the internet or if it would even work (since it’s still the same wifi network and everything). are there any other ways to “fix” this?

i really don’t know a lot about this (as you can tell) so any advice would be highly appreciated.

thank you for reading this and any kind of help in advance!

(english isn’t my first language, so i’m really sorry if i translated something wrong!)
