(Seat Arona)
I was just pulling up on the left of the road and as I went to slow down the brake pedal felt incredibly spongy and didn’t do anything, a bit panicked I pushed the pedal down further than I normally would and the brake’s suddenly bit and I came to an abrupt stop.
But this was the only time it happened and it seemingly resolved itself immediately. I pulled forward a little afterwards and tried the brakes again and they were back to normal.
I am a qualified technician but I’m very new to it all, is there an explanation for this? I know spongy pedal generally means there’s air in the system and a bleed needs doing, but for it to happen suddenly and then go away seems strange? It made me a bit wary on the drive home but it hasn’t done it since.
