My laptop (Lenovo Ideapad 5) has been in need of a replacement for a while and I’m now in search of one.
I’ve been using Linux in both my desktop and laptop for a few years I intend to keep doing so. As such, I would prefer a laptop that is more Linux friendly. I’m aware of brands like Tuxedo and Slimbook, but from my research It seems I can get better machines from other brands for the same price.
I also intend on using Wayland though I don’t think Intel vs AMD makes much of a difference in that department, I won’t be playing any games in this machine so no need for a dedicated GPU.
As I’ll be using this machine for work and university I’m looking for something light with 16Gb of RAM and with good display. I’ve been using a Huawei Matebook from work and, while it’s an excellent machine, it really suffers from glare.
I should mention that my budget is around 1000-1500€.
Any suggestions for a good laptop to run Linux?
