I’m considering getting the OLED Steam Deck once it’s available. Currently I am a console gamer with a PS5 and Series X. I am a gamer who plays maybe 4 hours a week on sports games. Asides when I have a single player game I’m interested in, then I sink a bit more time in that.

I am not much of a PC gamer, never built a PC and generally hate sitting on a desk. Prefer couch gaming. I own a lower end laptop, where I play football manager.

My interest in the Steam Deck comes from wanting to play last gen and previous gen AAA titles at 60FPS. Something not really available on PS5 and sadly the FPS boost/back compat program is on hold at Xbox. I absolutely loved that and I got to play the gears of war series in 60FPS, binging in one week!

With my use case/need, do you think the Steam deck will be a good fit? I have my consoles for the new triple A titles of this gen but want to play older titles at higher frame rates. Plus it helps that I can travel once or twice a year with a Steam Deck. Let me know if this is worth it or would meet my expectations.
