Hi… I have a fairly new laptop specs: 17 12700, 3050ti Nvidia, 16gb DDR4, 1Tb m.2 storage. And it runs great for many games but obviously I can’t run everything at full graphics.

So… I have ordered a new TV as above which will arrive on Tuesday as it’s now less than £400 thanks to Black Friday deals. Currently I use HDMI to to an old 40" Plasma Samsung from 2009… So its a big step up for me… Can’t wait :)

Anyway… I run everything at the mo to the TV at 1280x720 + 60hz refresh and that’s fine for most of my gaming. I was wondering though if to get the benefits from gaming on the new TV will I need to increase the display resolution or will the TV do the work for me?

I ask this as I know my laptop will struggle if I crank up the graphics even further for some premium titles. Hence why I leave it at 1280x720.
