So I run a shirt business and recently an artist told me he wants to give me a piece of art (for free), to use on a shirt. I don’t know what kind of paperwork I need to do in order to legally make sure everything is good. I don’t want them to give me the full assignment of copyright for the art, I just want to have the ability to sell the work without any shenanigans, should they change their mind.
