I currently have an hpe dl380 g9 and an r710 but that power bill is getting crazy so I’m looking to go for something lower power than the r710

I have an old ryzen 1600 with mobo and was thinking of putting that in a rack mount chassis, but don’t know the cheapest options with 8 drive bays or cheapest power supply options etc. This is keeping in mind I’d be selling the r710 so preferably something around what those go for nowadays.

I also wanted to know if its plausible to gut the r710 and put another mobo in, and use a low profile cooler or something.

Or maybe if anybody has any other lower power suggestions for something rack mount that has 8 drive bays
