I’ve had the problem occasionally, you go to put a clutch in an engine and the flywheel bearing in has seized, wearing down the spigot shaft, Given the enormous task it can be to remove that shaft and repair or replace it, how do you handle it. Are there custom flywheel bearings with a smaller centre, or do you use shims like you would in a trailer axle.

    /r/suspiciouslyspecific lol. I was thinking about using an annular drill bit to cut it down to the next size. Then could use a bushing on the outer or inner diameter, depending on whether one installed a smaller bearing or not.
