he is an ink mage that paints his spells. so far so good. he uses his r to clear his brush. okay i get it. but now shit happens. why does he have 10 abilities instead of 6. if you mix colors, they create the same color no matter the oder. and his passive even states, that his spells act like a spellbook not a color mixture whatever. so why does his r makes his brush clean? shouldnt it be a rubber instead or whatever? i feel like making 6 abilities would be so much more fitting with the color style of an ink mage. and now we got this weird dude with inconsistencies written into his own kit. cba.

Well, you only have 1 set of 3 colors, not 2, so there would be overlaps if the spell is strictly going by color combinations. I think OP’s logic is this:

    Q: Red - QQ = RED, QW = Purple, QE = Orange

    W: Blue - WW = BLUE, WQ = Purple, WE = Green

    E: Yellow - EE = YELLOW, EQ = Orange, EW = Green

With this, you have a Red, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Purple, and Green set of spells. 6 spells total (7 including ult). But that’s not all there is to Hwei, as his spells aren’t strictly based on color combination alone. Hwei doesn’t have any overlap, so he’s got 3 unique spells per primary color button, so 9 plus ult (10 total).
