Yesterday when CJ had to exit for literally a single snap, the last 3 years came flooding back. Our season was over. How would we survive without him?

And here’s the thing. Guys, we have a quarterback. We have the guy. We have a guy that keeps us in every single game, and always gives us a chance to win every single game. Schaub didn’t do that, or at least not consistently. Theodore Jesus Ramirez Yates, the mighty mighty Bengal slayer, didn’t do that (unless we were playing the bengals). And freaking what’s his name didn’t do that, though he sure did pad his stats along the way. We’ve finally arrived. And as scary as it was to think the engine of our offense was gone, he wasn’t. He fought back, played through his own mistakes, and led us to victory. Houston, we don’t have a problem anymore.

Schaub has a black cloud over him based on how his last few years went with the team, but when Schaub was in his prime, he was exactly what the offense needed. Stroud will probably eclipse him in time, but it’s a shame at the lack of respect Schaub gets now from fans.
