I am starting to see used Mecan S vehicles (2016-2018) for under $30K. Most have 50K to 90K miles on them. I already own a newer Subaru, so basic transportation is covered. Is it crazy to buy a budget Mecan S to just get a feel for it without spending $60K+ for a newer one? I’d only own it for a year or two?

Thanks! I hear to watch out for transfer case woes and leaking timing covers. Both apparently require an engine-out service.
