RSS, ATOM, and JSON feeds may be getting a much-needed update to the spec with the addition of Byline, which provides structured identity for syndication feeds.

    The article doesn’t make it clear, so I guess the guy mentioned has a saying in the development of the RSS standards?

    If so, and if it gets to pass, hopefully it doesn’t remind Google (for Youtube) and Reddit that they have native RSS feeds. I get a strong impression they’d ax the function to keep users even further in their walled gardens.
