Here’s my biggest gripe, does anyone lose their minds every time Bryce Young does his drop back. It’s like he’s too casual in his drop back. You think he would have more success if he was faster in his drop back progressions? Or is that apart of his mechanics?
Indeed they are. As a QB coach myself, I don’t think the commonly used complaint about Bryce’s footwork really has any validity.
One of the most intriguing things about Bryce coming out of the draft was his ability to make all kinds of throws off platform and without stepping into the throw. Idk how anyone could watch the tape from this year and say, “the problem is that Bryce is ready to make the throws because our WRs got open too fast and his footwork is the culprit.”
And yet…here we are.
I like the QB coach analysis.
For me does Bryce even have time to setup in his drop back cause he gets pressured more than the average QB.
Should he change his approach to his drop back and maybe implement more QB draws? Then again, I’m watching Bryce get murdered every game and it’s not fair. Is it the O-Line? Is it his progression approach? Is it the receivers can’t get open?
