My kid manually locked my Mazda c-x5 while my purse was in the house (with the fob) and it locked us out while it was still running (was defrosting the windows)

Apparently we glitched the system and it’s not registering my car fob to unlock it now, so I need my car to die so it can reset and I can use my fob to get in.

  • We recently bought it and just found out we have no key in the fob. 🙃

  • It was NOT remote start, he pushed to start it.

I know remote start runs for like 15 min then it will turn off but I think I read after Idling for x amount of time it will auto shut off.

Is that true and for how long will it idle.

    We do not. 😭

    When we bought this used from the dealership we’re finding out today that apparently they weren’t in there and are missing so now we have to figure out why we don’t have keys in our fobs.
