It was ineffective in the 1st ½…

The 2nd half, we were getting whatever we wanted at a significant clip. Could have extruded the ball down the field, sapped the life out of the crowd, and rested our Defensive Unit.

Instead we made jjiii look like he was a competent NFL defender, and lost all momentum with that pick.

I keep saying this, but it’s not necessarily the volume of runs, but the quality of runs. There’s definitely times where game flow and Defensive Adjustments will make the pass more effective, but if you’re in the middle of asserting dominance over an opponent, it’s unnecessary to change it up, simply because you doing the same ol’ thing. Sometimes you gotta rinse & repeat.

One could say 20/20 hindsight, but I’m sitting here pre snap screaming for the run, whenever it’s clearly effective (which isn’t ALL the time granted)…

Sometimes the obvious move is also the right move.

It’s my assertion that Stefanski is almost entirely incapable of running the ball 11 times in a row like Atlanta did to us last year. He would just HAVE to throw in some momentum killing pass, or triple reverse to prove his genius.

I’m not ripping Kevski, this is my honest observation based off his playcalling since coming here.

Nick Harris is one hell of a Fullback, he punishes the Defensive Front before they can punish our runners. I assure you Defenders would greatly prefer 3rd and short passes from us vs getting repeatedly smacked in the face with Nick Harris, Teller, Bitonio, BIG THANOS, and Ethan. We have a stable of Runningbacks as well, so fatigue is largely focused on the Defenders.

Sometimes you gotta take the air outta the ball and control the clock & tempo of the game.
