I just bought SAO Fatal Bullet for XBox and played it for 3-4 hours until I basically fell asleep at 6am with the controller in my hand.

Is it the best game ever? No but it’s engaging enough so far that I want to keep playing and see what else it has to offer
There’s a reason why not a single arena fighter has managed to attract a playerbase dedicated enough to keep a competitive scene going. They focus on quantity over quality and it shows.
It’s not like licensed games can’t succeed, but something has gone deeply wrong with the arena formula. More people are still playing JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future, an arcade game from 1998, than any of these modern arena games.
I have no idea what genre of videogame, if any, could replicate the experience of One Piece multi-site battles on absolutely wild and varying scales of power, speed, and size.
But if any genius game dev out there wants to make it happen, I’ll take ten.
