My brand new G87 should be coming soon and honestly after hearing a lot of horror stories about dumbasses being assigned your car during pre delivery inspections and “taking the long way” while getting gas, etc, as well as my previous bad experiences with a dealer when I had my M2C has honestly made me very worried.

If they had a legit reason to push the car, I’d be fine with it (as long as the engine is warmed up, car isn’t in break in, and they give me the reason why they had to do what they did) but if some monkey just launches my shit for the fuck if it, obviously I’m going to be pissed but from what I can see, it is very hard to prove anything, especially when they unplug your dashcam. My bad experience was when I had an exhaust camshaft ticking on my M2C and took it to a dealer to have them diagnose it. They kept the car for like a couple days and I noticed that they drove over 10 miles (I told them the issue only happens on cold start) and burned through a good amount of gas, and to add insult to injury, the shop foreman told the kid who drove my car off to the area in the back to unplug my dashcam almost immediately.

I don’t fucking care if you think that you can get away with shit like this because it’s not being recorded. It’s almost funny how people just treat other people’s property like shit because they know they won’t be liable for anything at the end of the day.

Sorry about ranting, just worried for my new car and remembering the dealer guy who treated me as if I was a doofus for pointing out an issue (legit TSARA issue fixed by another dealer later down the line) has been eating away at me for the past couple of days.

Edit: And before the people who say “quit crying it didn’t do any long term damage” come in, I know you’d be just as pissed if someone was treating your own car like that. Why is treating other people’s stuff like your own such a hard concept for people to understand?

By sales technician do you mean the guy who setup my deal? If that’s the case my worries have gone down significantly
