Just wanna point out that I’m still pretty young (19M) but I watched Football with my dad (He’s an eagles Fan) so I’ve seen Carson Wentz go from really bad to leading his team to the #1 seed and setting them up for a SB. I say all this to say that QBs like Mahomes and Burrow have made it difficult for the rest of young QBs to exist in the NFL. Both finding early success and establishing themselves as top 5 QBs has made it hard for QBs who start off in the traditional fashion. Josh Allen, Lawrence, Manning, and Bradshaw were all terrible their rookie years and after DEVELOPING are either doing great things currently or Hall of Famers. So NO Bryce isn’t going to win ROTY, no he isn’t leading us to the playoffs this year, and we’re for sure not winning more than 5 games this season. But it’s not entirely his fault for any of that either and I think that needs to be addressed. Bryce has arguably the worst skill group in the NFL and one of the worst OL as well so it’s baffling how people are quick to label him a bust after JUST 8 starts. This year was obviously a let down but I truly do think this fanbase’s mentality needs to shift and not expect Bryce to throw 470+ yards and 5 touchdowns when there is clearly a fucking roster difference between the Panthers and Texans. Anyways #Keeppounding
Have you watched ANY of our tape??? Bryce is showing touch, accuracy, and anticipation that would be top 5 in the league. His off platform, out of scheme throws (like the TD on Sunday or the deep ball against the Texans) are things of beauty.
He is showing you that he is insanely technically adept but 1 man can only do so much when he has 5 in front of him seemingly trying to get him killed and 4 to his outside that are coming out of their breaks only as he’s being sacked.
Bryce has certainly very accurate throwing the ball to defenders on freaking checkdowns.
