Why is no one talking about how car companies are getting rid of remote start from their key fobs? If they are trying to sell this as a yearly feature, why did they ditch it from the fob and include it on a phone app? Why also would they keep the door lock & unlock on the key fob when that is also on the phone app? (I’m looking at you Mazda)

All questions on the internet lead back to “how to operate your key fob”… no one seems to be asking the obvious question that is taking away features to allow car manufacturers to print money with migrating an old tech to a $hit app.

    But on the other hand, your phone is a more secure device than the key fob…
