The thing is if you lose then you’re gonna just go back to playing regular season games. I think every team only was scheduled 80 games this year. So if you fail to make it in the tournament you’re just gonna get more regular season games added.

I’m excited to see how teams play these. Especially once we get to the single elimination games. But even before that we’ll know teams that need to win to get in and possibly by a certain amount of points. All that is new and interesting vs it just being normal regular season games. Or a separate tournament that your only incentive is more money to hopefully get the players to care.
