As the title said, my 2015 Chrysler 200S needs repair. The mechanic says I need a new oil cooler and a windshield washer pump, and I agree with him on that. What I don’t agree is that he’s charging close to $1800 for it.

I don’t have the skill or tools to replace these parts myself, but it looks like I can buy both of them for about $200 from a parts store. Is the replacement really so complicated or tedious to be worth $1600?? Or am I getting scammed?

I called another shop that I’ve been to before, but obviously they’re not gonna take my word for it on what’s wrong and they won’t give me a quote or anything. So I need advice. Am I getting a fair deal at $1800 or not?

Man that would bite. I’ll try to get more info from the guy. I know the parts I’m looking at are probably cheapskate parts, but even if I double the parts price for some quality, I’m still looking at like $1400, which is about what I paid for a bunch of transmission work last year at the other place I mentioned.
