Everyone is tired of seeing our O line be such a liability that our QB keeps taking hits so often. How is this guy even allowed in the parking lot at this point. Everyone we bring in just somehow has their worst season here. The Texans blocked so great with backups, but we can’t block for a QB who has one of the fastest releases in the NFL. We are forced to throw screens and check downs because you can barely count to 2 before someone is on him. And this has been the most consistent piece of the team, which isn’t a good thing. You can always count on the O line to suck, no matter who you put in. What is wrong with the leadership that they cannot find the common denominator here?
And yes, I know there are other issues, but goddamn. Maybe start with the dude assigned to come up with a blocking scheme to protect a $250m investment. Or you know, do what they are going to do anyways and keep him another year because surely it must be the players and we just need to bring more people in until we find the right combo, right?
I think you could argue they aren’t being developed either though. We gave seen regression in players that have come into Cincy as veterans. The Bengals have drafted 5 OL players since 2020 as well, and sure you could argue they weren’t the most talented but even when they got into Cincy they showed no progress or growth at all.
