I seem to be stuck on 3.4.8. I go to system, click check for updates, it says checking and does nothing. Tried on stable, beta, and preview but the same thing happens. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

Well I feel foolish. I just wrongly assumed Etcher could handle bz2 files but yep that fixed it.
