Ok hear me out.
Most people I have spoken to already had a large enough or even substantial Steam game library when they picked up a Deck.
For them, the Deck was a way to play their massive libraries on the go and for many, they are now completing more games than ever before.
However, for me, I’ve always been a console player. I picked up a Steam Deck last January and have slowly been building a library of games from absolute zero. I can’t get over the Steam sales and humble bundle offers - it’s night and day from my €80 PS5 games.
But, lately I’ve been thinking to myself, what would Cyberpunk, Final Fantasy or Resident Evil look like on a monster gaming laptop with the graphics pushed to the max?!
Has anyone else that’s new to Steam been in a similar position where the Deck was the gateway to a PC gaming journey in general?
Has anyone gone on to get a gaming desktop or laptop because of the Steam Deck or have you just been completely satisfied with the Deck?
I hear this! Been a console player since NES and never dipped my toes into PC gaming, but the steam deck has been en eye opener.
My only concern is how much would it cost to build a pc that’s as powerful as current gen consoles? I know nothing about PCs but would like to learn.
