Stroud is surrounded by quality weapons that were acclaimed before CJ’s first snap of the season, dudes like:

  • Sonny “Smoove” Grigson (don’t tell me he’s not WR1)
  • Tayveon Brown playing catch and run from the backfield
  • Darius Smith-Wright in the slot
  • Donny Jacobs (6’7" of unstoppable red zone offense)

When you’ve got a supporting cast like that of course it’s easy to look good.

    The goalpost did shift, but it doesn’t mean they are wrong.

    Stroud is a special QB and he would be doing better than Bryce is now in Carolina due to his ability to read defenses, take throws confidently while guys are covered.

    He is also in a better situation via talent/coaching.

    Panthers fans aren’t wrong complaining about their roster/coaching. It isn’t good.

    But there are a lot of throws that Stroud would have thrown in that offense because Young perceives them as covered.

    I can only imagine Young probably isn’t commanding the locker room very well when everyone is blaming everyone else but him.

    All 22 is bad, and I am not sure why Young is getting so many excuses for his equally poor play.
