You have never understood the actual meaning behind the posts and it shows.
I make the posts because regardless of what the situation is, regardless of the outcome, however shitty it might be, it can always get better.
I watched Herbert today do everything in his power to try and win. He tried to will this team to win and I want him to win.
The posts aren’t about Staley it’s an idea. It doesn’t matter how bad it is it can get better. That’s the only reason we stay fans. It’s the hope and idea that one day we will win.
Week to week, season to season, it’s about believing that eventually it will get better.
As long as Justin Herbert is out there giving it absolutely everything he has I will support him. I won’t ever cheer against him or root for him.
You guys take these posts so personally that you resort to tearing down the person who makes them. You do the same thing to me that you do to the players and everyone else the second something doesn’t go right.
Why is it that after a loss your immediate response is to try and mock me and tear me down?
That really doesn’t make sense and it’s not a good way to live your life in general.
But anywho,
This is what the sign stands for
“You know what I wanna mess around with? The belief that I matter… regardless of what I do or don’t achieve. Or the belief that we all deserve to be loved, whether we’ve been hurt or maybe we’ve hurt somebody else. Or what about the belief of hope? Yeah? That’s what I want to mess with.
Believing that things can get better. That I can get better. That we will get better.
Oh man. To believe in yourself. To believe in one another. Man, that’s fundamental to being alive. And look, if you can do that, if each of you can truly do that, can’t nobody rip that apart.”
So yeah you can mock me, get mad at me, harass me with comments, or whatever just for posting a message then that’s on you, but I’m not going to stop or let you guys bully me into stopping. That’s not why I do it. Sometimes we just want something to make us feel better when everything around is going absolutely shitty. Something to look forward to in the worst times.
