I wholeheartedly congratulate your first World Championship in seven years, your fourth World Championship.

In Hangzhou Asian Games, for which esports was elected as an official sport for the first time, South Korea won four medals. In continuation of this success, [T1] has won Worlds and once again made South Korea renowned as the frontrunning country in esports.

Lee Sang-hyeok, Choi Woo-je, Moon Hyeon-jun, Lee Min-hyeong, Ryu Min-seok. The scenes of the five players united as a team brought great joy and moved the South Korean citizens as well as people across the globe.

The South Korean government will offer adamant support so the South Korea video game industry can be globally competitive and be a frontrunner in the industry internationally.

Once again, I congratulate T1 players for this championship.

2023 November 20th, President of South Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol"

i’ll never get used to the status league has in asian countries. seriously, can you imagine Joe Biden releasing a statement congratulating Doublelift for getting out of groups and being the pride of NA or something? it’s so surreal

The French president Macron would do some tweets whenever big esports events happen in France. He made some congratulory tweets to KC when they won the EUM and when french streamers from the ZEvent raised money for charity.

It’s all pure communication to grab some votes from the younger people. It’s actually super controversial here and multiple streamers strongly insulted him for his tweets.

Virtually anything Macron (or any French president) does is met with anger and insults from the French people.

They have a compulsive need to berate their government. Generally it’s fine, though I must say with Macron it has reached some ridiculous proportion. The guy could solve world hunger and Frenchies would still find a way to be annoyed.
