I’ve been really critical of him on this sub but if he can pay like this somewhat consistently then I’ll eat crow. We saw Drew Lock out there and it didn’t look good (although i do think a lot of that has to do with lack of reps and chemistry, I still think Lock is better than people think) but then geno came out there injured and put us in position to win probably doing it through a lot of pain. That’s a leader and a fighter and he looked pretty dang good. Really tough loss but Geno did everything he could to win us that game, I’m a 💯 positive if he didn’t get injured we would be 7-3.
All these points are spot on, I think Geno has proved he’s a top 10-12 QB which is solid.
Additionally it’s late enough in the season that they can’t waste a week prepping and starting Lock unless Geno really really can’t play. Schedule is brutal down the stretch needed todays win, every win counts now.
Lock also lacks the talent that Geno has at the position.
